April Kile
April Kile is the owner of April's Dance Studio and a life long resident of Chickasha, OK. She studied dance from three years of age to 18 years old at this studio, formerly the Lee Paramore Dance Studio. April attended college at Oklahoma City University from 1990 to 1994 where she received her Bachelors degree in Performing Arts as a dance major. At OCU, April studied ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, theater dance as well as costume design and stage craft design. After graduating magna cum laude, she returned to Chickasha to work at this dance studio. April became a member of Oklahoma Dance Masters Assoc, an organization that continues the education of dance instructors and dancers, in 1991. She has served as secretary, treasurer, vice-president and president of this organization. April has a passion to spread the joy that dance brings to the next generation.
Candice Knowles
Candice Knowles teaches ballet, tap and jazz at April's Dance Studio. She graduated from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma with an Early Childhood Degree in 2007. Candice has been teaching at Rush Springs Public Schools since 2012. In 2015-2016, she was the nominee for Teacher of the Year. Candice has been teaching dance for numerous years at April's Dance Studio, beginning as a demonstrator at the age of 10 years old. She graduated from April's Dance Studio in May of 2003 and began her assistant teaching at the studio immediately after graduation. Candice continues her dance education going to dance conventions including Oklahoma Dance Masters Assoc. (O.D.M.A.) Candice has been an active member of ODMA since 2003 and has served in various offices including Parliamentarian/Historian, Secretary and Treasurer. Candice has a love for children and a love for dance that makes her an amazing teacher.
Claris Bahm
Claris Periman Bahm teaches tap, jazz, lyrical, liturgical, hip hop and technique classes at April's Dance Studio. In 2011 she graduated from St. Gregory's University with a Bachelor of Humanities in the Arts degree with a dance major. At SGU she studied jazz, modern, lyrical, ballet and tap, as well as, being an instructor and the director of the SGU Academy. Claris began dance at seven years old, became a demonstrator at April's Dance Studio at the age of thirteen years old and graduated from the Dance Studio in 2007. In 2011, Claris came to teach at the studio full time. Claris continues her dance education by attending various dance conventions including ODMA. She became a member of ODMA in 2011 and has held several offices in the organization including Jr. Elite Sponsor and Secretary. Claris has a love for dance that motivates her students, making her a fabulous teacher.

Hi!
We are April’s Dance Studio. We have been providing dance instruction for over 50 years in Chickasha, OK and surrounding areas! We have been blessed to be at our current location of 721 W Choctaw Ave for over 25 years!
April Kile is the owner and director of April’s Dance Studio where we “Just Gotta Dance”. This studio at one time was The Lee Paramore Dance Studio. Lee Paramore shared his love for dance with April and over 50 years later that love for dance and educating dancers is still going strong!
We love to perform! We have a Christmas performance and Spring performance each dance year. In addition, we have a Costume dance party in the fall for parents to come and enjoy. We like to perform at local festivals, retirement villages, and nursing centers throughout the community.
We also have several performance companies ages 8 and up who perform hip-hop lyrical and liturgical throughout Chickasha and even the state of Oklahoma!
We encourage our dancers to attend Oklahoma Dance Masters Association dance conventions to further their dance education.
We have Princess Camp for ages 3 years to 1st grade in the summer as well as summer technique classes for all ages.
We truly enjoy passing on what we love to the next generation. We are thankful for the opportunity to teach your child dance lessons that lead to life lessons, helping build their character in all aspects of their life.
