ATTENDANCE POLICY

April’s Dance Studio attendance policy states dancers may not miss more than 2 classes in a row and no more than 3 absences total per semester per class.  Any more absences will lead to confusion and frustration to your dancer and her class. We understand long illnesses or family emergencies and will adjust accordingly.  It is detrimental to your dancer to miss constantly no matter her age.  Please keep dance as a priority and watch your dancer shine!

At April’s Dance Studio we believe it is important to complete the entire dance year.  It is important for each student to understand once they commit to something, they must finish that commitment.  Every dancer depends on each other for formations, line changes, etc., therefore, we do not take it lightly when dancers drop out half way through the season.  Please do not take it lightly, either.  Explain to your dancer that dance is like school, and she must finish the dance year no matter what.  This is also a reminder to parents to not over commit your child to other activities that will hinder their attendance in dance.  There is something to be said about the self-worth that comes after performing on the stage in the Spring Recital.  It is a huge accomplishment and each child deserves to experience this.  This is each dancer’s reward for their hard work throughout the dance season.
